What Sensor is this?

It is in the head, under the intake manifold forward on the lft side. I know there was one there when I took the engine to the machine shop. Now it is gone and the mchine shop said one doesn't go there. I know one goes there. I had to unplug it from the harness when I removed the engine. My manuals don't show any detail and the index blows, so I have no way to run it down.

knock sensor I think. the earlier 5.4L's didn't have one IIRC so the shop might not know the change that was made in '99+

Thanks for the replies. According to Ford, it is the head temperature sensor. I was able to get the Ford parts guy to look it up and print out the page with the diagram. The knock sensor is bolted to the bottom of the valley. When I get hooked up I'll scan that picture and paste it to this thread for future reference.
