I just was on Ford's site and they have a few webisodes of the new 2010 Taurus vs other cars and vs kids. It beat an Audi V8 hands down in 1/4 mile racing, show cased Fords new blind spot detection system and the new My Key where the owner (adult) can preprogram the key for the kids so the radio can only go to a set volume and the speed can be controlled so they dont go off racing the car or driving fast on the highway. Very cool features. Very cool car. Its a shame I'm not in the market for something like that though. Wife needs and Expedition and I need my 250. Oh well.
That's great stuff. I've actually been giving serious thought to opting out of my new truck next year, keeping my '88 and getting a Taurus or a Fusion.

Available this summer, the 2010 Taurus will start at $25,995, the same as the 2009 model and with a SHO version that produces 365 horsepower via a much-praised (and possibly Mustang-bound) Twin Turbo EcoBoost V-6 with a paddle-shift six-speed SelectShift Automatic gearbox and AWD. Exclusive technologies in the Taurus not available elsewhere in this class include: Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert, SecuriCode Keyless Entry Keypad, Voice-Activated Navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link, Ford SYNC with Traffic, Directions and Information, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion, Easy Fuel Capless Fuel-Filler and Sony Surround Sound System.
I really like the new Taurus. Something I thought I would never say. But the new interior is kicka** in comparison to recent Ford interiors. They have really stepped their game up with this one.
