window visors

Hi all. I just got a 2009 platinum 150. The water really pours in the windows ,even if open a crack. Could you recomend a good visor and maybe tell me the pros and cons of stick on vs. channel mount? Thanks for any advice. Dan

I had the in channel for a while. They look lots better in my opinion because they are "slimmer", but they made an annoying scratching sound every time I closed the window. Drove me nuts. I hate squeaks, rattles, etc. Decided to do without them in the end.

It really is personal preference I think, but yes, as said, the in channels are slimmer/sleeker, they don't have that bulbous look of the stick-ons that seems to stick out farther from the window. I like the stick-ons and have used WeatherTech ones and have no problem with the noises when window goes up. The stick-ons, if applied correctly seem to last ok too. One thing I like about the stick-ons is that, because they stick out farther, they keep more water streams out when you have windows down say at a drive-up Dunkin Donuts, because they direct the water farther away from your door window sill and not into the cab. This is a factor because the top of the window opening in most vehicles now is further inboard than the bottom so when water wants to drip off roof (because no more gutter channels (remember them) it drips right into vehicle. But after you have the truck a few months you won't care LOL.
