Hi,
My truck did start to puke couple weeks ago so ..
I am about to do my HG, i want to know if there is a good write-up (procedure) to follow. We had access to the Workshop manual before but not anymore. I want to install ARP studs also (torque specs,) what HG to buy (Ford, Aftermarket ??).
Can we install studs in place ?(without having to lift the cab up ?)
Will i need to order some other gasket beside HG?
Last year I did change my Oil Cooler and change my Intake gasket.

Just doing a drive by response, the guys will see it later today and have more information. Ford has an upper gasket kit that includes everything you need to R&R the heads. Pitch the torque to yield bolts in the trash and use the head studs. You can do head studs in place but the heater box, passenger side, limits your movement. You can slightly lift the cab, not complete body off or remove the engine out through the front.
Head bolts are the problem, not the gaskets. Since you have damage make sure you check for flatness both on the head and block, .009 can be milled max off the head.

if you have the kit ford part number it would be nice! and how much is cost ?
any place in USA to buy ?
Here in Canada price are almost doubled on parts! it is sad
any good place to find a copy of the Workshop manual ?
