water pump
My background is more on imports and usually you just replace the pumps because the are driven off of the timing belt. On domestic cars though usually you just have the serpentine belt and then the pump. I've read that some have wheep holes that will actually start to leak some coolant to indicate the pump is going bad.
I'm only asking because I'm not sure if the pump has been replaced in the past or not and i'm getting ready to take the truck on a long haul.
I've had the truck for about a year now. has 120k on it. Doesn't leak or burn coolant. Temp stays good.
Just thought I'd check into things before going on the trip.
