Tie Rod end trouble
Hey I got a 1971 Ford F250 4x4. It had the original 16.5 inch rims and I got American Racing 16 inch Outlaw II's The tierod ends clear the 16.5's but not the 16s.'s. Besides getting new wheels and tires what are ymy options. Ive heard wheel spacers and longer studs to getting tierod ends off a smaller Ford like a bronco II or a half-ton of the same year. What can I do??

The issue is backspacing of your wheels, This can be correct 2 way, Spacers, or replace the wheels. Spacers are a last resort because they increase the side loading on the bearings, and affect camber. while you may believe this isn't important, it is. To much or to little can make the truck unstable. This can also put to much of a load on your studs, I have seen many accidents from spacer miss use that its not funny. DONT replace the tie-rod ends with anything BUT tie-rods end made for your truck, messing with these can also be very deadly.
