I have a 2002 F150 Super Crew. Several months ago the 15A fuse that controls the power windows and dome light blew. I replaced it and everything worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then it blew in a day and now within a couple of hours. I hear a click when I install a new fuse and heard it again when it blew while lowering the windows. I've had it in the shop once and they supposedly checked out the wiring and couldn't find anything. I hate to take it to the dealer but may have to. Any ideas?
The first thing to do is look over the truck for anything that is not factory. If you or anyone has adding any wiring(like running boards with lights that would be hooked into the domelight wiring) I would look in this area and suspect it first. The factory is pretty good about running and protecting their wires, but owners adding wiring are not.

x2 for the aftermarket wiring. Check around the fuse box (and in it) to make sure that you or somebody else hasn't added anything else to the circuit. If you haven't, there's only two things I can think of:
1. A tired motor that requires a lot of current to make it move and it's overloading the circuit.
2. Something in the window track that is making the window hard to move, which would require a higher operating current by the motor to make the window move in the track. If you pull the door trim off you can see if the track is obstructed. I would spray some white lithium grease in the tracks to "loosen" them up and see if that fixes the problem. I'm always for a little elbow grease before breaking out the wallet.
I would use spray silicone before I'd put a greasy white grease in there....you'll be cleaning the edges of your windows forever. And silicone will be more slippery.
