Friction Sway Control

I'm looking to add sway control to my 16 X 7 enclosed trailer.

I saw this cheap unit at Harbor Freight.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96462

Is it a POS? What makes one unit better than another?

Put it next to other friction sway controls. The better ones have stouter sliding bars, better welds from the bar to the cups, and some have disk brake style replaceable brake pads.

Harbor Freight is good, for use once or twice tools and very cheap accessories. I will not buy anything from them, that I will have to depend upon for safety.

I wouldn't buy anything that matters from Harbor Frieght. Like Moore said, one-use tools and things that are cheap or can't break. If it can break, HF items will.

Been using 2 Harbor freight friction sway controls for 3 years now. No problems. They are getting a bit worn now, but they do stock replaceable "pads" for them.
