I am going to rebuild the NP 435 4spd trans in my 76 f100 300 I6 flairside LB. My question, is the any brand clutch kit from the local auto parts store going to good enough or should I look to up grade such as better brand, better performance, etc. It is my daily driver, but I do hual stuff in the back once twice a week, tow a small boat now and again. Opinions appreciated.
LUK is a very high quality clutch at a decent price. I used one for a long time behind a built 300 and I was pretty rough on it, never had a problem. You can get them at most autozone checker carquests etc.
