OK guys bear with me here. Bought my first F150 (pick-up for that matter!) last night. The remote start is causing me probs. It's stooopidly hot here in Dubai so the thought of going out to a chilled off cab is very appealing to me.
The problem is when I press the start button on the fob the car starts, runs for probably 5 seconds then stops and flashes the lights 3 times. It does this every time i've tried it.
Any ideas what I need to do. I've a novice with F-150s and Remote start. I've looked on the web and can't seem to find similar probs. Any info greatly appreciated.
It just depends the type of alarm you have''what kind of remote start"" I have a clifford that gives you the power to set how long you want your truck on. I have mine set for 10 min.You should check to see if you can change the run time of if it can be re-programmed for your needs.. Good luck.

Hi 4-real-thing,
The remote is an Autostart with 5 buttons... start, stop, lock, unlock and what looks like a trunk release. It says FCCID:NAHRS5304 moulded into the reverse. There's also what looks like an area for a serial number and 'A' is moulded but no number.
Hmmmm. not sure what alarm it is . I would use the Numbers you find and Look it up on the Net. Look for some phone number and talk to a programmer specialist or you can go to a stero/alarm installer near you and see if they can reprogram it for you. I have had to do that a few times but it worked for me. Check it out bud. cheers!!
