I couldnt make up my mind on which brand of oil to use so I decided to use 1qt.chevron,1qt.shell,1qt.valvoline,1qt.havoline,a nd 1qt.citgo;Will this work?
I did the same thing once years ago, figured I was complicating things (in my own head if nowhere else) - though if it were me, I'd trade the Citgo and Havoline for Mobil and Castrol - but thats just me - hope we (I) haven't started anything hostile here . . .
Hmmm. Let's see, how about one quart each of Rislone, Marvel Mystery Oil, Restore, Gunk Engine Flush, and ATF? Would make one vicious engine flush, aye?
But seriously, I would have no problem with the five different brands of oil, so long as they are decent quality brands and you get the correct viscosity range.
Why even use oil? Just get enough Duralube and ProLong to fill your crankcase, and then add a few drops of Marvel Mystery Oil and Risoline just to keep things on the safe side. I think that alone will more than triple your gas milage and you can expect 1,300,000 miles of service life from it.

I can't make up my mind either.. I'm going crazy with all the talk and how
everybrand outperforms the next one. I agree, one quart of each brand is a great idea. LOL
It will not work.
The additive packages will clash.
Zinc globs will precipitate out.
The engine seals will shrink up and fall out.
Your engine will make a lot of smoke and then explode.
