Found that my #6 injector is bad. Now I'm trying to figured out what to do. Replace just the one injector or all of them? I already have 2 reconditioned injectors and have 141xxx on the rest of them. I want to go stage two but still want to stay around 1000, could possibly go around 1500 for 2s. Looking thoughts and experience.
Some things to consider:
ALL the injectors fire the same number of times, use the same oil, and push the same fuel. When one drops below spec for whatever reason, the rest are not far behind. It will be a matter of time before you're replacing them one by one, if you have issues with one now. This is why I do not sell one injector at a time, I only do sets of 8. It's just worth it in the end to have all 8 overhauled at the same time, and flow matched, and start off fresh with a good complete set.
If all of your Plunger & Barrel assemblies are good, my Stage-2's would fall within your budget. ; )
I'd be getting them all rebuilt. If one starts to fail, the others are probably not very far behind.
Rosewood Diesel offers some pretty good prices and awsome turn around time if you don't want to rebuild them yourself. I'd go with a set of stage two's because you'll be whinning about not having them a few months after you get the ones.

Unless your after drag racing or sled pulling my baby beans do great, replaced all at once. Then again, I see what your saying, that PMS can really be annoying at times. Most of the time I keep telling myself to leave well enough along.

Talking about your completes? and anyway for me too see if the p&b's good or not?
I just got mine rebuilt from RDS. I opted for stage 2's since the cost is the same versus going with stage 1's with new nozzles. IMO, I would spend the extra cash for the new nozzles even if you stay with Stage 1's.
Jim had them rebuilt and back to me within a week.
Only way to know for sure would be to open them up and visually inspect them for damage. Even then, sometimes they look good but don't flow well, but those are few and far between. Usually if there is no damage to them they flow OK.
