first diesel purchase

i have been looking for awhile and have found what i think is a nice 04 f350 6.0l drw 4x4 crew cab lariat fx4 long bed, i think i got it all!, with 81000 miles on it. can anyone tell me how to gat an oasis (?) report on it.
asking price is 18,995.
vin number is 1FTWW33P74EA16854

this is my first diesel truck and i want to do it right. in the future i plan to tow a 5th wheel trailer. thanks for all the info, been doing a lot of reading on the forum and its a lot of great info.

take that info into ur local Ford dealer...

they should be able to run the VIN for you...

first thing I would do is look at what type of 5th wheel you are after. Then buy the truck. Here is some towing guides to get you started.

Based upon some of the info for towing capabilites and the 5 er you have in mind then you can say what type of truck (250/350, srw or dually)

the 5th wheels i've been looking at are around 10,000 to 12000. thanks for the towing info.

talked to the local dealer about the oasis report, he could not give it to me but said it was clean as far as any major work. just the egr valve was replaced. i can also get a 48 month 48k mile warranty on the truck thru the ford ESP plan. its the base care package so i will go for that. its getting all the little things done and i should pick it up on saturday. thanks for all the info

if you can get the vin, someone on here might be able to pull the report for you, but it sounds ok.

i know the guys at the dealership, i had my wife take up to them and they did a courtesy test drive for me, its got to be killing them that i found one at a chevy dealer. the car fax came back clean also. cant wait to get the truck.
