Steering shaft assembly

On my 68 F250 4x4 I am looking to replace the steering shaft assembly. (The shaft from the steering box to the column at the firewall with the two u-joints.) The Borgeson #970 looks like the one I need but everywhere I look it only states that it fits 70-79. I cannot find a single difference between a 68 or a 72 steering shaft assembly. Borgeson tells me they only researched back to 70. No other company that sells them can tell me that it will fit. This really seems lame to me for a company to sell an item and not know for sure what it will even fit. I am 90% sure that it will fit just fine but can anybody give me that last 10% before I order one. Thanks for any input. Paul

As original.

C7TZ3B676B .. Shaft & Coupler Assy/ Obsolete

Fits: 1967/68 F250 4WD / 1969 F250 4WD before serial number D96,001.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
D1TZ3B676B .. Steering Shaft & Coupler Assy / Obsolete

Fits: 1969 F250 4WD from serial number D96,001 / 1970/71 F250 4WD / 1972 F250 4WD before serial number N00,001.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D5TZ3B676B .. Steering Shaft & Coupler Assy / Obsolete

Fits: 1972 F250 4WD from serial number N80,001 / 1973/75 F250 4WD.

In 1975 Ford replaced C7TZ3B676B and D1TZ3B676B with... D5TZ3B676B ...which means that it fits 1967/75 F250 4WD.
