weak turnover when starting
hey guys im having trouble starting my truck again when starting i can hear noise from starter motor but just a slight noise, my starter motor wire gets hot but i just replaced that one , the wire that runs from neg terminal to ground also gets hot,and the wire from pos terminal to solenoid also gets hot can anyone help me as it is stranded now thanks

im not sure the guage but it is the thick one i bought the nascar brand from canada tire my starter is new as of a few months,there is smoke coming from my wires as they get hot!

first off, you shouldn't keep cranking if you see smoke, trust me its bad... secondly just because it was new a few months ago doesnt mean it isnt bad, take it out and bring it back, the auto parts store should be able test it for you.

if it has a manual tranny, the answer is yes. if its an auto your s.o.l. as far as push starting goes.
to push start, push the clutch down and put it in gear and turn the key to the run position, when its rolling kinda fast dump the clutch and it should start.
