Dashboard noises
I tried a search for this but it doesn't recognize these two words
. My 2008 F350 has a strange ticking noise that sounds like a rattle(but it's not). Seems to be originating under the climate control system. I can also barely hear a grinding noise when I put my ear down there. I'm thinking blend door motor possibly?

Does the Check Brake System light come on in the dash for a few seconds when you start the engine? If so mine just did the same think with clicking sounds in the dash and i had 1 bad battery and the other one was failing also.I replace them with Optima Red Top's from Interstate battery and problem solved.. If still under warranty 36000 Ford will warranty the batts.I had to pay the difference of the stock batts to the Optimas.

Do you have the auto climate conrol? Mine does that too, especially when the right and left side are set to different temps. To me it sounds like servos controlling the system.
