Talk about a quick fix...

For those of you that followed my little problem, I had to put off bleeding out my power steering system for a couple of days due to my schedule, but this morning I was finally able to get back to it.

For as many times as I tried cranking the wheel back and forth [on jackstands] to bleed the system it just wasn't working. So I got the idea to pull the inlet hose off of the gear box. My thoughts were if the gear box wasn't completely filled with fluid then I'd be able to add fluid directly to it. Instead what happened was I pulled the hose off, the gear box was full of fluid and I noticed air leaking out. I watched it for a minute until the bubbles stopped surfacing, replaced the hose, fired it up and now it steers just as smoothly as ever.

Yes, it's back to it's old, whining steering self!

Thanks to those who helped me get this straightened out.
