hello all. i have been a way on vacation past few weeks. got back and seen my hybrids sitting there. i was planning on installing a superduty fuel pump but after i bought the pump i got my sticks. question is, will i need 2 sd pumps? some one suggested to me that a bigger walbro might be up my alley. but i was thinking about pump failure. with 2 sd's i can limp back home if the 1 dies. plus i already bought 1. what do you guys think?
I believe it depends on how big you injectors are.
I was told by Beans that the single pump will support up to 238 Hybrids. Anything above that will probably require another pump.
Also Beans dual pump system puts the two pumps in line with each other. In other words they are plumbed in series.
I guess it would help if i posted the size lol. They are 235cc from beans. If all i need is 1 then how come every custom fuel system runs one big un or 2 sd's? Just dont want to come up short or have over kill thanks for the replies guys
look at it this way, use the single SD pump, and try it out, if for some reason you are lacking then just drop another one in series with it, or upgrade to the walbro, it would be easy to do, as a side note, I used the walbro pump when I did my fuel system and it works great, I bought it because I could get it cheaper than a SD pump and it flows more fuel
