What year is your Ranger? Some vehicles are "sealed" by the factory. Some have holes drilled and tapped, but then are capped off. And some actually have grease fitting installed. Why? Who knows. No grease fitting, but your manual says lube every 15K miles, sounds about right.
THANKS FOR THE REPLY,TRUCK IS AN 02 WITH THE MAZDA 2.3.I HAVE A 160
MILE ROUND TRIP TO WORK,BOUGHT IT FOR THE GAS MILEAGE,(30)IF YOU KEEP IT UNDER 70.I USUALLY DO MY OWN SERVICE AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THOSE BALL JOINTS
If the ball joints aren't drilled and tapped for grease fitting, theirs not much you can do. If you take it to a dealer or shop they will probably just tell you they are sealed units. I has an 69 Mustang with the same deal. The ball joint got replaced after 200,000 miles. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
By the way, you may want to turn your caps off. Using upper case letters in a chat room or text based forum is considered the same as shouting.
