Gettin 'er done
Well, I've progressed my truck project by leaps and bounds since moving three months ago. It runs, it drives, the electrical is in, and working beautifully. The air system is functioning as designed. The steering works, the air horn is loud. It's making it on TV. I may be able to take it to the Brooks, Oregon trucks show August 22nd. Things are going well. I am going Saturday morning to meet a Craiglist seller that has a bunch of exterior parts I need to finish it up. I'm quite satisfied to say the least. This truck has been at the fore front of my FTE journey, since I joined 5 years ago. It's been built and rebuilt, several times (kept getting crap donor cabs, and dealt with money issues that altered the plan a few times). All and all, it's been an adventure, and has taught me a lot about commercial sized vehicles, and the old Big Jobs. Anyhow, check out the pictures in my photobucket, and look for it on Power Block TV, Aug. 29/30. If I make it to the truck show, I'll post a lot of pictures, and hopefully, I'll be posting a video soon.
