have a power door lock problem
I have after market power door locks. All of a sudden the drivers side quits working correctly. When i hit the lock button, it makes a noise like it wants to go down. When I hit the unlock button it just vibrates. I took off the panel and checked it out. The plunger will still go up and down but it want make the rod go with it. The passenger door works flawlessly, besides the window going up so slow but thats a different subject.

I'd look at the linkage to see if anything was binding up causing the lock not to move.
If your actuator is failing and dosen't have the strength to push the rod you may need a new actuator.
