exhaust tip size
A while ago I had a tip welded on and it sticks out way too far. I wish I would have said something when they did it but I fugured once it's welded there is no going back. The other day my wife burned her leg on it and I've decided to cut it off and put a bolt on in place of it. I cant remember what diameter the tailpipe is. Also how do the bolt on's work anyway?

Use a C-Clamp as a make do caliper, clamp it on the pipe losely, remove it and measure the opening with a tape measure. There is your pipe diameter.
Im assuming the clamp on tips do fine as long as the nuts are kept torqued, but I never had one...

I've had buddies complain about their bolt on tips coming off and things of that nature. If you go with the bolt on you might could use something like JB weld and ensure a more secure fit so it won't come off.
