cant remove muffler

I have tried heating it and I have tried a BFH, now it has been sprayed with Kroil which almost always works but was wondering what others have done to get stuck exhaust off?

Get a bigger hammer or use the hot wrench!

Sawzall, die grinder, or, if it's low enough, a speed bump.

did you heat it till it glowed red, or just get it "hot"?

To remove exhaust components its best to have an acetylene torch setup. If you want to save the muffler, just heat the inlet red hot and work the muffler off. Now if you don't want to save it just cut it off. Make sure you have good heat on the torch, then cut the inlet off by cutting two horizontal slices in it. You have to be quick or you will cut through the whole exhaust. I do this every day at work and sounds harder than it is.

If you have no torches and you want it off....use a grinder and cut it off.....works believe me!!!

Thanks everybody, I got it off today. I used a dremmel with a cut off wheel and just made a slice on the muffler and then peeled it right off. It worked on both sides and was real easy and quick. Thanks for all the help, the new muffler is on and hope I can hear it pretty soon. (read my bad to worse thread for the soon reasoning)
