Best Performance Programmer

Folks,

I need advice on the best programmer to get for my 250. It is an 06 and currently has some sort of Quadzilla setup. My problem is that when I took it in to the dealer for warranty work on the engine (fan clutch), they fixed it and then said not to bring it back because of the aftermarket setup. I bought the truck with the setup on it already. This performance setup uses a wiring harness to hook to various sensors on the engine and the service dept at Ford sees that.

I am thinking that a programmer might be less obvious. I need a good one though. Opinions, thoughts?
Thanks,
G

get the Phalanx from Spartan, but you have to call him for this, or go to Innovative Diesel website and get some nice tunes for the SCT. those aould be and are the best choices as far as i know of......
and never go to any dealer with any programers hooked up to the truck, they can void you warranty, and that might go on you record, so when you bring your truck anywhere they will throw you out, or with the smile on their faces give you few grand estimate..

so watch what you doing......

I am running a sct with Innovative's tunes. I ran spartans tunes untill they stopped tuning the sct. I still use Spartans hybrid race.

But if you run the sct you will need gauges.

One question. Is the quadzilla a programmer or just a montoring system?

I have the SCT with Innovative tunes as well. If you don't have guages, check out the SCT Livewire, that may be a good all-in-one unit for you.

Spartan Phalanx.

It includes a full set of guages.

The LiveWire still has some reliability issues. I liken the LiveWire to that being SCT's 6.0.

I would either get Spartan's tuner or SCT's X3, I have had both and both are good. I recommend the Spartan tuner, but I'm partial to it. It will offer a full set of gauges and the DashDAQ(which is what is used as a platform for the tuner) has been around longer then the LiveWire so that is a proven platform.

Robert,

The Quadzilla is simply a box that monitors the parameters and adjusts for power accordingly, depending on what stage you are in.

Stage I = Tow Mode
Stage II and III = Street performance modes (no towing).

The box was on my truck when I bought it, so don't know a lot about it.
