Drain engine block coolant
Hey guys, I did a search on this subject and I ended up with different opinions, engine sizes, what each plug on the block meant whether an oil passage or coolant plug and there were two different opinions about those plugs. I have an 02 F-250 SD 4X4 6.8 litre V-10 with 45K miles. I want to replace the coolant, I know how to drain the system from the radiator drain plug but I'm not sure about how to drain the block. I see some 4 sided plugs on the block but I'm not sure if they're oil passage plugs or coolant? Secondly, the plugs I see they look like they're placed in the middle of the block and I wonder if it will drain the block enough? Also, I may buy the Ford Premium Gold coolant from the dealer, it's only a few bucks more than a local auto parts store for another brand.
