Ok, talked to the mechanic. Gonna be several days before he can get to it.
If I wanted to try replacing the water pump myself, besides the pump and gasket,is there anything else that I need or need to be aware of? I just have a standard set of tools and a couple of torque wrenches. Do I need anything special?

Never done it personally, but I know there is a site that has our water pump for right around 100 bucks and its great quality. Im sure someone else will know the site and any special tools you may need.
