The CEL came on in my truck for the first time yesterday. It now has 42K miles on it. This morning when I went to drive it the CEL light was on for awhile then went off. I tried to retrieve the DTC via the diagnostic mode on the message center, but in showed no DTC. So I guess it didn't store it.
Just now I plugged in my SCTX3 and I retrieved a code of "P0060 ho2s heater resistance (B2, S2)"
Anyone have a clue what this means? A search of this forum or the super duty forum was negative.
One of your oxygen sensors (driver's side, AFTER the catalytic converter I believe) is showing the incorrect resistance for the heater circuit. Check the wiring/connector for that O2 sensor, and if nothing shows up, the dealer should replace it under the emissions warranty, I'd think.
Thanks guys. Yeah, I drove it in the rain for the first time in 2 months. That may have something to do with it.
It has been very dry and very hot here for a long time. A lot of the vegitation is wilting amd drying. Looks like fall in July, but it sure doesn't feel like it.
I'll try some silicone grease on the O2 sensor conectors first.
