I recently installed a set of add-a-leaf springs (2008, Super Crew, 4x4,5.4L, 6.5 ft bed) and it raised the bed level approximately 2 inches. Surprisingly enough it did not alter the ride comfort at all. Hopefully I can haul more without he rear end sagging so much.
I have noticed that the braking effect is somewhat less than it was before the add-a-leaf install. I wondered if the truck has a load sensing proportioning valve for the brake system which now needs adjusting due to the additional bed to axle height. <O</O
Does anyone know if the 04-08 trucks were equipped with the load sensing proportioning valve, where it is located or if any adjustments are possible?
