Just wondering if someone knows where I can find out the acceleration (particularly 0-70) and braking (70-0) for a 2001 4x4 Eddie Bauer Expedition. I need this in an effort to beat a speeding ticket. Though I believe my truck is quick I dont believe I am capable of 0-70 and 70-0 in 6/10ths of a mile in 6:00pm traffic. Allowing the officer to also tail me at an average of 70mph for .25 of a mile.

I saw 10.9 for 0-60,and 17.9@79mph in a magazine as times for a 2003 Expedition 5.4. 2001 has same HP rating,but is a few hundred pounds lighter,so it should be a little quicker.

 

Thanks for the info I am actually trying to figure it out in distance do you know which magazine it was in,, Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Court date is New Years Eve at 1:30pm

I'm not sure which magazine,I saw it 2 or 3 weeks ago on the rack at the grocery store. It was in the back of the magazine listed along with a lot of other cars. The 17.9 seconds at 79 mph is for the standing start 1/4 mile. It may have been Road&Track,or Car&Driver. Hope this helps you.

 

I know Car & Driver did a comparison test in their July 2000 issue. They used a 2000 Expy XLT with the Sport pkg. 4x4 and 5.4L. They always include the specs you are looking for. If you can find a July 2000 issue all your questions will be answered.
