I have a 96 f-550 7.3 powerstroke that has a bad vibration when driving, It has been comming and going but now its getting worse, If you push the clutch in it goes away then comes back when you let the clutch out. Any idea what this may be.
It's your DMF, dual mass flywheel, coming apart. You might want to replace it with a single SMF. Search this forum for Valair or send a PM to valair1 for more info.

It has been doing this for a year now and when you let it sit and cool down then drive it again the vibration is gone. Then comes back later.
I put a luk in my 96 dumptruck and it's not bad (got bad synchros too), but I think after talking to the guys on here I'm going to go with a valaier in my 97 for towing. IIRC I had around $650 in the LUK setup
