So my tech at ford said I may need a new engine but Ford will not approve it b/c he laid a straight edge and could not find warpage. He is a stand-up guy. He gave me new heads, gaskets, egr, oil cooler for the second time with ARP studs. He said that the studs may not have been torqued correctly last time by ford. he said these pics are not good. What do you think?
Tech here, looks like they are leaking again, where the blue material is missing in the circle in between cylinders is where they usually leak. I don't know why you are having an issue again, I have never had to put headgaskets back on an engine after doing them once. Did they use the right torque sequence? I don't blame Ford for not paying for an engine. If the block is not warped then why put a long block in it? Sounds like he needs to check the heads for warpage. The spec is .002" or less.

It could be one or a combination of what you already mentioned or it could be that he didn't torque the studs right, not just the sequence(as in order) but also in how many times need to torque them and at what ft/lbs for each torquing.
Thanks, yeah the blue was missing all over the place. They did put heads on again! I am hoping this is the last time but the tech said he thinks there could be an underlying issue like the block is warped but he just couldn't find it. I am looking into the extended warranty now.
yea well i have seen new ford heads up to .005 off so good luck. that is why you always have them shaved at a reputable machine shop.
Not Ford policy I do believe. It's to get new heads, not to have them sent to a machine shop to get them milled. Now if an individual dealership does that, then that's on them, but I think the policy is for new heads.
