Power steering pump grow

My oump started a slite grow this morning, checked fluid while at operating temp and it was below the cold level mark. Went to auto zone and they filled it. When I got home noticed the fluid bottle they used ... DOT 3 break fluid.. What problems can I expect?

Get a few quarts of mercon V transmission fluid or equivalent. A plastic turkey baster and some clear hose that will fit in the end of the baster. Suck as much fluid as you can out of the reservoir and refill. Drive around a bit and do figure eights in a parking lot and repeat until your satisfied with the result.

Remove the return line , put it in a bucket .Cap the res inlet ,Have someone turn the wheel back & forth while you run some new ATF through it .Then , Fix the leak you must have ...

Like Rick said. Pull the return line and flush it. http://www.superdutypsd.com/power_steering_flush.php
