I have part numbers for pressure plate and bearing but they need to know about disc size.Ten and half or eleven inch.Any way to find out before I pull it apart.Any info would be helpful Thank you. PS 65 fullsize bronco 300 6cyl 4spd 4wd
About the only way to know for sure is to remove it and measure across it. Find out if the parts supplier stocks both first. Then take your old parts with you and match them up. I've seen the time when parts stores looked up the wrong ones.
Ford has drilled two bolt circles on their flywheels, 390 and 300-6 I know for sure. The 300s came with a 10-inch unit 2wd, and an 11-inch 4wd.
I had read that somewhere, and went way out on a limb and mail-ordered an 11-in. CenterForce Dual-Friction. In the meantime, I went to a boneyard and bought another 300 flywheel, which sure enough, had both bolt circles and matched up to the high-dollar clutch.
I then had the "new" flywheel surfaced, and had it and the Dual Friction balanced (neutral balance, in the case of the 300.)
I threw it back together using ARP flywheel and clutch cover bolts.
The Dual-Friction clutch and the racing bolts were pure overkill, but the 11-incher and resurfacing is a mandatory (cheap) upgrade; the rebalancing is good to do if you can handle the down time and extra $$$.
