Actually it's kind of like that here too. In the rural areas, since there is a lot of farming, you are allowed to shoot and kill a tresspasser that you feels is a danger to you or your crops or livestock. But, you have to be able to justify it to the police, or the courts. We don't have to have a license, or registration either, as long as it is in plain sight, and there are no rounds in the chamber. The reasoning is, that you had time to think about it, draw, think about it more, chamber a round, think about it more, and then take aim, still thinking about, before you fire. There is enough time, in theory , to defuse the situation prior to discharge. If not, then it can be considered a justifiable self defense. You will have to under go a psych eval through the DAs office. After that, and you pass, you cannot be held accountable for justifiable homicide in the act of self defense against a real and emminent threat to your life and safety.

I left my 73 Mustang out one night and that was all it took for an idiot to break into it. Rear quarter glass broken out. Stereo ripped out of dash, not taken out. Wires ripped out so that he couldn't use the stereo, one speaker ripped out of the rear dash. Cops told me that I should just leave things alone because the thief has problems and they have rights to. I guess to the right to break into my car and steal and tear things up.

Thieves do not have rights. Other than Miranda, and the right to defense.

Like Judge Roy Bean said, "Give them a fair trial, then hang 'em." Well, not exactly. But close enough.

WOW. If a cop said that to me, he'd lose his job. I'd be on the horn with the state attornies office, and the head of the state enforcement. Lazy, or cops that can't be firm, but compassionate have no place in America. I'd hang that kind of sob right along side the thief. That reminds me, I did have a cop try and pull some "let it go" type crap once. Can't remember what for, but I do remember telling him to do his job. Didn't like that much, but he did know me, and knew my stance on security, and such. He did his job in the end, but it tiook explaining the position I was in to get him to understand.

I dont' have a garage door opener, so they can't get to anything inside, but if they come to my house they better hope I get to them first or my 2, 100lb American bulldogs will rip them a new one.

By the way dose anybody have a passenger side wing window they want to get rid of?

Hi Sam,

I only need the glass, but I have no idea how they are held into place, so it would probably be easier to get the whole thing. And as long as it's not broken or cracked. Bubbles are OK. I'm not picky. By the way my truck is a 53 f100, I don't know what years will be the same.

you can get new glass from midfifty for $22. I bet local glass company could do some for you too. (its flat).

getting the glass out of the frame is a PITA..

A glass shop should be able to do this in short order.

Thanks Sam. I was hoping you had one for me, but thanks for the info. Don't some people convert their windows to one piece? It would be really nice to find another one with Ford script.

Get a dufur for now. It may be easir than trying to hunt down one. I am working on getting another couple trucks. If you can't find a Ford one before then I'll get you one. In the mean time, get a replacement, unless someone has one out and handy.
