i have a 71 block and i need a pointer again because i rather lost it or the machine shop didn't put it back on my timing cover. i know the timing cover for all years is the same. but i think i've read that the balancers are different.
let me know if the following will work. i know its a lil differnet looking but all in all, if the marks is the same, it'll work.
can't say off hand if it will work or not. the only way to know is put it on, find top dead center on #1 piston ( if heads are off makes it a lot easier) and see if the pointer lines up with the TDC mark on balancer.
i think that is really the only way you are going to find out if it will work or not. might be able to modify it to work if you have to.
