c6 question

If I have a '79 f250 with a 400 and a c6, will this c6 work with a 460 when I do the swap?

Sure, I think you need to get the 385 series bell housing for it though.

Yes the C6 used behind the 400 and 351M will work with the 460. There is no seperate or removeable bell housing on the C6, the case and bell housing are all one solid piece of aluminum.

so the c6 behind my 351m will bolt right to the back of my 460? thats great!

hmmmmmm , somebody told me long time ago that my trans(c6) wudnt bolt to a 460....... i wish i wuda known that it wud back then

They were wrong, it is all a direct bolt up.
