Muffler or Cat back?
I'd like to upgrade my stock exhaust system from the cat back. I would like some better breathing, mpg, and definitely more exhaust sound. I'm the only driver of the X. I don't tow anything, just camping, hunting, running around town and such. I was thinking a series 70 Flow Master. I heard the sound clips on this forum somewhere. Also thinking of a cat back system . anybody got some answers for me. I would like this rig to sound good. I did hear an f-350 today with a v-10 and it sounded terrible. Don't know what type of exhaust he was running but it sounded like a sick Honda.

A cat back will probably sound better than just swapping the muffler out. The muffler will be "matched" for it's location and frequencies a little better. Depending on what your listening to, you may never notice the difference. Plus with the V10, the sound pulses will be different from a v8 so it will not sound the same as the clips that play on cheap computer speakers.
The best thing to do is listen to them in person. Second best would be get a kit that people of similar interest to you likes. Taste will be a big factor in any of them.

Might want to take a look at Bear River Convertors, site sponsor that I've read nothing but good about. Think it was the Wicked flow series muffler that got really rave reviews and has a lifetime warranty.

I went with a straight in place of the muffler with my excursion. it has a real nice tone to it and isnt even that loud considering. You can tell it has something done to it but it really doesnt speak up till your crack 2k for rpms. and even better my mileage went from 10.8 to 11.8
