Is this normal

Hi guys I need some help. I have an 06 PSD 4x4 crewcab LB. Is it normal near the front U-joint where the axle goes through the knuckle to move around a 1/4 inch in all directions or do I have a problem with bearings or something. Both sides do it and it doesn't matter if it's in 4x4 or not. Thank you in advance

Three out of four of mine have no play at all ,the one that has play is nowhere near a quarter inch.

I just got back from ford and looked at three others and they all shook like crazy. I talked to 2 different techs and they said the should move. Hopefully they were not just blowing sunshine but I feel much better now. Thanks guys

the only thing stopping them from moving is a dust seal which likes to pop out no big deal
