Hey all, great forum, very helpful. I have a 2007 F-150 with 2800 miles on it. Yeah, it has been in storage for a while. Anyhow, after getting some vibration problems somewhat resolved with the help of reading this forum, I have a question. Do any of you have whistling noise when you just barely touch the gas when rolling along? I can manipulate the sound by carefully working the pedal. There is no sound when off the gas or into the gas. I have no mods at this time like CAI's or such. Just stock. An edge will be coming.
the alternator could be the problem .I had the same symptoms but when it was cold out.
New alt. fixed the problem. There was a problem with the alt.from ford there is a tbs.on the site need to do a search.
Thanks for the info. Sorry about leaving it hanging, I left for a couple of days after posting.
I found that I can make it whistle when I let off the gas just right also. I will check the TSB.
