Automatic Trans Output Shaft
Hello there! I'm new in here so please bear with me. I have been trying (with no luck so far) to find the diameter of the center section (not the splined area) of the output shaft on a C4, C6, and AOD transmission. The C4 would be from a '74 F150 2WD with a 302, the C6 I'm not real sure but think is from a later 70's 2WD pickup with a 302, and the AOD is from a mid 80's Mercury Grand Marquis. I am in the planning phase of putting a Ford power train in my Jeep and need this info so I can select a trans to buy and adapt to my Jeep T-case. I just don't want to buy a trans and find out that the shaft is not big enough around for what I need to do. Can anyone help me? I really hope so as I have looked everywhere for this info. Hope I didn't get off the subject too badly.
