E-brake adjustment?

This is my first post here.
Great forum! You people have saved me hundreds of dollars already.

I just replaced the rotors, brake pads, and emergency brakes (pads and hardware) on the rear wheels of my truck, (2001 F150, 4WD, Lariat, Super Crew, 5.4L). Information in this forum helped me to get it all on there in good shape.

When assembling the E-brake parts I turned the star just enough to get the pads retracted so that the rotor slipped over everything. After getting the wheel on, I got in and pumped the brakes until they felt firm. I backed up a little, tried the E-brake and it seemed to hold well. Took a ride around the block and tried it again. Seems to work.

Are there any other adjustments to make to the E-brake or the disc brakes or can I assume that everything is cool?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Be thankful your e-brake works. I've replaced the hardware on both sides and i push it to the floor to no avail.

You shouldn't need any adjusting if your brakes feel firm and there are no signs of a problem. Don't even think there is anything to adjust on disc brakes but i've never had to adjust mine.
