I have removed the snapring and grease cup off of the end of the hub, now what do I do to get the hub and rotor off, I see a bunch of gears but nothing is coming off. Its a 93 F150 4wd
Thanks for your help. The picture is different than what I have, I have atuomatic locking hubs and they don't look like that. there is only one ring on mine and that hold the cap on there. Is there a difference?
Ford used a couple different designs of auto locking hubs. Some are easier to get off than others. Without looking at yours I'm not sure which kind you have. The best I can suggest is try cleaning everything out good and maybe you can see what's stopping you from getting it out. Check for that outer snap ring just along the inside edge though. Most of the time that is what's holding the hub in place.

Yes check for the outer snap ring. It can be hard to see, very fine wire that you need to pick out.
My '92 300 was the same with Auto hubs, it doesn't look like anything in a Chilton or Haynes Manual. They did use different designs, so clean everything out really good. I used PB Blaster and WD 40 to sorta rinse the inside after removing the snap ring. You really need a good "Pick" set for this so that you can remove smaller parts inside the hub and just about any Hardware store may have one. Don't count on a Auto Store to have them, I just ran down to Ace or sometime's I have seen Wally world have them too.
Be sure that you keep everything that same direction as it comes out. Very easy to misalign or forget which way it sat in there.
I sat the locking hub assembly in some parts cleaner and used WD40 and PB Blaster cleanse the inside cap body. There is a small ring inside of it that can be used to disassemble, but mine wasn't bad, so I didn't bother with and just cleaned it really well and lubricated it constantly while I worked on the rotors.
