Talking Just Ordered Spartan

I just ordered Spartan with the 75, 150, and 210. May end up with the 275+ tune as well. I can't wait to see what she can do. Thanks for everyone's positive comments as this sure looks to be the way to go. By the way, i was on You Tube and searched "Spartan diesel 6.4" and was amazed at how fast these trucks are with the 275 tune.

Truely amazing!!!!!

Hey Sawtooth,
A couple tips for you to make your life easier. Not sure if you are replacing the entire exhaust or just removing the DPF? If you are doing the entire exhaust then unbolt the hangers from the frame and then screw with them on the ground, this will save you some headache. Same thing on the way back in, put the hangers on exhaust and then hold it in place and rebolt them to the frame.
Also if you are doing the entire exhaust, put a jack under the trailer hitch and jack up the rear of the truck as high as it will go, this'll give you the clearance you need to wiggle the tail pipe over the rear diff but be carfeful not to snag or break any brake lines. As well buy a spare sensor (the main one in the DPF) as it's a real PIA to take out and most guys end up breaking them. If you need any other help or advice let us know. I would also highly recommend the 275 tune or wait a few months and buy the 310 when it's released.
Good Luck

Thanks for the info. I decided to do the dpf only as i wanted the truck as quiet as possible (for hunting). Matt told me that by doing this way i was only loosing about 10hp so not to big of an issue for me. As you mentioned i order the extra sensor as well. Thanks for the info and i'll let you know if i hit any bumps along the way.

I paid about $65 with shipping but you may find it cheaper. You need the sensor that goes in the dpf. You could just remove the one in the dpf but i hear its very hard to do and you may break it anyway trying to get it out.
