Maitainance schedule for E4OD automatic transmission?

Maitainance schedule for E4OD automatic transmission?
Does anyone know the service interval for the ford E40D transmission? I'm having the transmission flushed and filter changed after 48,000 miles on my 1995 Bronco. Is this a mistake?
1995 Bronco Eddie Bauer- 351ci- 4" Pro-Comp lift- 32" Dunlops- Front & rear Maniks- K&N FIPK- Dynomax 3" catback- Awia Head and changer.

Heck no!
I do mine every 30k. Period. I think the interval is 30k or earlier if the oil is somewhat burnt. This can and usually will prolong the life of a tranny. Heat is it's worst enemy.
Pastmaster's 1993 XLT 5.0 E40d 3.55LS Normal Cab/Long bed Loaded from the factory with aid of...MSd 6a ign/s.p. wires, blaster coil, Hypertech Chip, K&N filtercharger, Cat-back dual exhuast w/o mufflers, 3.5", echo tips, Accel distributor cap, Dark Mocha over light mocha. 5% Dark tint, Alpine Cd player/remote, Pioneer speakers.

Maitainance schedule for E4OD automatic transmission?
Did your tranny start to slip? I too have questions on E4OD and not sure where to get answers on my 91 2wd E4OD. But it is starting to slip when driving from a dead stop.
