Work was wierd today. It started out as busy like normal then went on break no big deal came back and busy then went to lunch it was nice with a little breeze then 30 minutes later. It was like holey cow, the wind was going and total down pour. The wind was so bad that the carts in cart holders outside was pushed out by the wind and then blown across the parking lot. While inside the store we lost power. Then 3 carts was blowned into a sweet looking truck. Which took out the head lights, grill, and made some dents in his bumper. That did not go well with the customer at all and i cant blame him. Then not more than 10 minutes 3 more carts blew into a car and did more damage. This happened about 630 pm. It was bad. The whole time the store had no power and the power did not get turned until 930 or 945 pm. So all the freezer and coolers were down durning that time. We had to put dry ice in every freezer door in the store. The roof leaks at the store so we had puddles of water down almost every isle. The generator only works on 3 cash registers and some lights. The store was dark and people still wanted to shop. It was crazy. Got out of work at 1030 pm and went to pick up Jeff at dads and my dads neighbor had a big apple tree in his yard. Well the tree snapped off at the base and is laying in his fence, he was so lucky, if the tree would of went the other way it would of been in his kitchen and living room. Douglas got flooded really good tonight and a lot of trees died also because of the weather.

WOW--- you shouldn't eat soo many beans, to cause so much wind :-) Just kidding glad everyone is ok!!! When I worked a a store in college the whole town would be without power and people would want gas, or something---- UM NO PWER PUMPS NO WORKY!!! Some people would be really mad-- but what is a guy to do?

 

Weather has been rough this way also. Last week we had baseball size hail. It miss us. We just had a little small hail but by the time that storm made it downtown it was doing some really bad damage.

Hope it calms down up there.

 

Seems to be a rash of nasty weather. The neighbor and I have to cut down a pine tree that blew into the light pole in the yard from the wind storm last week. We had a terrific lightning storm on sunday morning and rain again last night. At least no vehicle damage.
