1992 f150

i have an 1992 f150 and was wondering why it would have smoke coming out of the hose that come off the smog pump and sit on the passenger side inner fender. sometimes it smoke worse than others but it only smokes when it is running. also the pulley has been taken off the smog pump and a different belt has been put on, i would appreciate any help you guys can give me. thanks

What motor are you running? Personally I think it is a bad idea to not run the "air pump", it is just putting more clean air into your emissions giving better burnoff. If the air pump is bad you can pick up a used one or a rebuilt one cheap.

i got the truck for 350 dollars and drove it home so i cant complain. it has a 302 and the smog was already removed when i got the truck. i just cant figure out why it would smoke from there
