You could just run Mozilla Firefox with the AdBlock application and never see a single ad on any website...

agreed, i run fire fox, but i guess i am lazy, haven't did the ad blocker yet!

but yeah, i seen the Cheby ad's before, and even Dodge ad's, as soon as i seen them i was like???? what the.....

i understand this site is owned by one big company, but still, i think they should stream line the ads, and filter out Dodgy, and Chebby ad's, and any other non Ford auto company's, and just run Ford ad's and ad's that pertain to Ford trucks, even generation/model specific part ad's would be cool for each area, it would be smarter advertising, since it would actually target the customer better, but that is my opinion,

ah well you can always use the ad blocker, like i am about too do right now! bye bye Chebby and Dodgy ad's! lol lol

Honestly, i dont see how it matters. they are just ads. would you not read your favorite hunting/fishing/4 wheel drive mag because they hunt/fish/wheel with a brand you dont like? the sponsors keep this site up and running, so idiots like me that dont know crap about my truck can come in, b.s a little about Flo, and gather information. i hit the ads once in awhile so the counters see there is activity and they continue to support the site.

Did you set up the adblocker with a USA subscription?

I also have Flashblock installed for those moving ads (AdBlock doesn't take care of those).

With the 2 apps going I rarely see an ad (occasionally one slips through)

Since we're on the topic, I received a PM advertisement today.
I thought that was weird, but anyway, it was from "Newtakeoff".
Who are these guys? I took a quick look on their site
only to find out they have nothing for me.
They sell OEM (so they say) stuff for newer vehicles.

What the heck do they expect out of me, or anyone else on a '73-'79 forum?
I guess in slow times, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Just seemed weird.

Murph.

I got the same spam PM. Just deleted it without reading.
You know, I realize the site uses advertisements to pay their bills(and make a profit). There is a point somewhere where they might just ruin a good thing by being too greedy.
