Changing trans, few last questions
Where can I find torque specs for clutch, bellhousing, flywheel, etc.?
When I did this on my jeep I had to put some wood underneatch the engine in order to keep it from crushing the fan shroud and radiator, should I put blocks of wood underneath the oil pan?
The coolant lines on the side, where do the come from, and where should I fill them up again at?
Also, what fluids should I use for the t-case and tranny?
Is there any trick to getting the 2 top bolts out from the bellhousing when taking out the tranny?
Thanks
On my 4R100 the top two bolts required about 3-4 feet worth of extensions. No joke. I had extensions running from the bolt head to just in front of the transfer case. Take your time and everything will go smoothly. I literally layed under the truck for a while looking at how I would take everything apart before I loosened a single bolt. Good luck.
