Tranny Question
What trannies would bolt up to a 390. i have a '65 4 door that has a 390 that needs a tranny. i heard that one from a 351 would bolt up but need some more info, im from the diesel forum so i new to the classic trucks. thanks for any help.

Any one that would go behind an FE, C-6 auto, NP 435 4-speed, most likely a T-18 4-speed, Possibly a T-85, 87 or 89, all 3-speeds, I think ford had there own 3-speed also(3.03?). Don't know for sure, but I think a C-4 auto or an FMX also. That's all I can think of right now. These are mostly truck trannies, there may have been some others for cars. Hope this gives you a direction to start and someone can add or subtact from these if needed.
