86 econo into 4x4?

My brother has a 86 econo (assuming 150 until he returns my call) and a 84 bronco. he wants to know if he can use the bronco 4x4 and bolt it under the van or how much work would be involved in that.

Would it be easier to get a whole truck and swap bodies?

Im wondering the same thing. I have a 91 van and wish it was 4x4. I found an 88 F250 4x4 but am not sure if I can swap out the axles and stuff.

Better off going straight axle with dual piston calipers instead of trying to reuse the Bronco axle.
